Today I was totally outside of my comfort zone.

I am not used to playing dress up.
I have never worn any make up.
I like to consider myself a Plain Jane; sporting a t-shirt, track pants and Crocs.
My hair is always tied up in a bun or ponytail; it’s never loose or in my face.
I was forced out of my comfort zone when I had to prepare for a photoshoot to promote this website.
I asked a close friend to apply minimal make up because I wanted to look and feel good for the photoshoot, which took place on Blouberg beach, Cape Town.

The shoot was the first time I sat comfortably in front of a camera to show people the real me; to see me for who I am, in my own skin – scars and all.

Every scar has a story…and I am excited to share my stories with you all.
